Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Cliffora. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your booking and participation in tours, climbing courses, rentals and accommodation offered by Cliffora in the Sultanate of Oman. By making a reservation or joining any of our activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refers to Cliffora. "You" refers to the guest, participant, or user booking or using our services. "Services" means any tour, hike, climbing course, equipment rental, accommodation, or related experience we provide.

2. Bookings & Payment

• A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm any tour, course, or stay. The balance is payable on arrival in cash (OMR), by card, or by bank transfer.
• For some activities (e.g. day adventures booked online) we may request full payment at the time of booking. The amount due will be shown clearly before checkout.
• Your booking is confirmed only once we send you a written confirmation by email or WhatsApp.
• Booking notice we recommend:
  • Single-day adventures & climbing sessions: at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Multi-day adventures: at least 5 days in advance.
  • Private and custom itineraries: at least 14 days in advance.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

The 20% deposit is non-refundable in all cases. Beyond the deposit, the following policy applies, depending on the type of booking.

3.1 Group & single-day adventures

• More than 48 hours before start: full refund of any amount paid above the deposit.
• Within 48 hours of start: 50% refund of amounts paid above the deposit.
• Within 24 hours of start, or no-shows: no refund.

3.2 Multi-day adventures & accommodation

• More than 14 days before arrival: full refund of amounts paid above the deposit.
• Between 7 and 14 days before arrival: 50% refund of amounts paid above the deposit.
• Within 7 days of arrival: non-refundable.

3.3 Cancellations by Cliffora

We may cancel or reschedule an activity due to extreme weather, government restrictions, safety concerns, insufficient bookings, or any other event beyond our reasonable control. In that case you may choose:

• a rescheduled date,
• a voucher valid for future bookings, or
• a full refund of amounts paid, including the deposit.

4. Travel Insurance & Liability

• Participants are responsible for obtaining travel insurance that covers adventure activities, accidents, and medical emergencies in Oman.
• Adventure activities such as hiking, climbing, canyoning and via ferrata are inherently hazardous. Hazards may include falls, rockfall, flash floods, extreme temperatures, fatigue, equipment failure, and the negligence of others.
• By participating, you assume these risks and release Cliffora, its staff, guides, instructors, and contractors from liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or death arising from your participation, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• All participants must sign our liability waiver before joining any high-risk activity.

5. Participant Responsibilities

• You must be in good physical condition for the activity you book and inform us in advance of any medical condition, allergy, or medication that may affect your participation.
• You must follow the safety instructions of our guides and instructors at all times. We reserve the right to refuse or stop participation, without refund, if a participant is deemed unfit, unprepared, or unsafe to themselves or others.
• You are responsible for arriving on time at the meeting point. Late arrivals may forfeit their place without refund.
• Participants must respect local culture, dress modestly in villages, avoid littering, and follow Leave-No-Trace principles in nature.

6. Equipment & Rentals

• Rental equipment is provided in good working condition. You are responsible for inspecting it before use and reporting any concern.
• You are liable for loss or damage to rented equipment caused by misuse or negligence, at replacement cost.
• Personal equipment you bring or borrow is used at your own risk.

7. Changes & Rescheduling

Cliffora may modify itineraries due to weather, safety concerns, or operational reasons. Where possible we will inform you in advance and offer equivalent alternatives. Minor changes do not entitle you to a refund.

8. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, storms, pandemics, political disturbances, road closures, airline cancellations, or government action.

9. Photography & Media

By joining a Cliffora activity you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in our marketing material, please tell your guide before the activity begins and we will respect your choice.

10. User Conduct on Our Website

You agree not to use our website or services to:

• act for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• disrupt or attempt to disrupt the operation of the site;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
• collect personal data about other users without consent;
• use automated tools (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the site or its data.

11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep information accurate and up to date but make no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cliffora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or enjoyment, arising from your use of our website or services.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from your booking will be resolved in accordance with Omani law and the jurisdiction of Omani courts.
